From Bitter to Better Love – in honor of a King

The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said,
“Never succumb to the temptation of bitterness”

It’s easy to become bitter when we feel we have
been wronged by someone – whether it was an
ex boyfriend who belittled you to no end during
the “break up period” or a friend who misused your
trust.

Instead of becoming bitter about your circumstances
or past experiences, allow God to be your strength in
the situation and allow each one to make you better.
Become better by being the bigger person and walking
in love even with the seemingly undeserving.

Activate the fruit of the spirit of love even with the
unlovable.

As King also said, “Let no man pull you so low
as to hate him.”

Love is a force in the heart, find feelings of love toward
someone who wronged you, forgive him or her and move on
so as to not allow bitterness to creep in your heart and
contaminate the love of God that’s already been placed
on the inside of you.

And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of
God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost
which is given unto us. Romans 5:5

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any
thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.
Galatians 5:6

New eBook Release…Get Over Your Ex in One Weekend

Ever wonder how to get over an ex?

Ever wonder how to get closure from a
relationship that didn’t work out, with no
explanation as to why?

Want to know how to forgive an ex and
move on?

If so, I’m excited to announce the release of
my new eBook, Get Over Your Ex in
One Weekend

You’re probably wondering what inspired
me to pen this one.

Well, like you, I’ve had my fair share of
heartache.  And also like you, I’ve had
my heart broken – more than once.

I can remember one time an ex broke up
with me the day before my birthday.

Yup, the day before my birthday – talk
about pain.

Yes, he cheated (though he didn’t admit
it until after the fact) and I loved him.
The Lord actually told me to cut off the
relationship a month before we broke up,
but I didn’t want to.  I wanted to hold on to
what “could be” or what “should be”
knowing good and well it wasn’t real.

So though he broke up with me (then tried
to come back later – which was too late)
I still had to allow God to heal me from the
pain.

It was only through the grace of God along
with some practical things He had me do,
that I was able to get over that relationship
quickly that weekend and can now testify
and say I am totally free from that pain
forever.  To God be the Glory!

As a result of what I initially experienced,
once I was healed I told myself that no one
should ever have to experience that kind of
pain in their lives, so the Lord put it on my
heart to write this eBook for you and what you
may be going through.

Whether you experienced the pain of break
up as a result of a dating relationship, former
fiance’ or even divorce, this eBook is for you.

If you haven’t been totally healed from that
pain or if you haven’t received the complete
closure you need in order to move forward,
then this eBook is for you.

It is possible for God to heal your heart quickly.

He did it for me, so I know He can do it for you.

Get Over Your Ex in One Weekend is available
exclusively on Amazon’s Kindle.  If you don’t
have a Kindle reader yet, no worries because
Kindle is now a free downloadable app on all
devices.

Whether it’s for you or for a friend you know
who just got out of a relationship, this
eBook, which is a quick read – is a must read
so you can be free to move forward forever.

Download it today. (and don’t forget,
once done, to leave an Amazon review)

How To Prepare For Marriage While Single

Today we will continue with our study of 1 Corinthians 7
and look at the next verse:

There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman
careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in
spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she
may please her husband. 1 Corinthians 7:34The first part of this Scripture states how there is a difference between

a wife and a virgin.  Here the author, the Apostle Paul, is speaking
of the difference between a married woman and an unmarried woman, as he is assuming all unmarried women are virgins.

We discussed, during our study, that because of the blood of
Jesus we are all made pure in God’s sight.I also mentioned how, when you marry, there is a priority
and a mind shift change because now your goal is to please your
spouse.  However, the desire to want to be in a situation, such as
marriage, where this mind/priority shift change is required has to
be there before you even say, “I do.”
This attitude should exist before you even seriously date anyone,
because anyone you date has the potential, at any time, to ask for
your hand in marriage. It’s kinda like the saying, “If you’re not ready for an opportunity when
it shows up it’s already too late to prepare.”  Well, in this case, you want
to be mentally prepared in advance for the upcoming difference that
should automatically happen once married.Just like the Bible states, Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing,
and obtaineth favour of the Lord in Proverbs 18:22 Hence a wife is found,
not a girlfriend, and not a female friend just to hang out with – a wife.A woman of God desiring marriage must become a wife first, mentally
and spiritually, in order to be already ready once she is found.

Seattle Seahawks Quarterback, Russell Wilson, 26, and singer/entertainer, Ciara, 29, have promised that they wouldn’t have sex with each other for the first time until marriage. Recently on CBS This Morning, Ciara called their pledge of abstinence until marriage “Awesome!” and a “great challenge.”

Though Russell and Ciara admitted to times of temptation, which is only natural since they’re both attracted to each other, Russel jokingly states “pray for me” during a video interview with Pastor Miles McPherson.

It’s a beautiful thing to see a man lead his woman in the way of righteousness by setting the standard of no sex until marriage in the relationship.  Now they can focus on getting to know each other with an end goal in mind of marriage!

I wish them both the best in their dating journey!
