This policy explains what Driven Light Productions LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, buy a product, or join our email list, and what we do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

We only collect what a given step actually needs.

• If you join the email list: your first name and email address, and if you choose to provide them, your phone number, birth month, and birth year.
• If you place an order: your name, email address, and the shipping address for your book.
• Payment details: handled by our payment processor. Card numbers are entered on their systems and we never see or store them.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as device type and the pages you visited, used to keep the site working.

Why we use it

• To deliver what you bought, and to send your receipt.
• To send the publishing tips and updates you asked for, if you opted in.
• To answer you when you get in touch.
• To meet our tax and record-keeping obligations.

Text messages and your mobile number

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we use it only to send you the messages you agreed to. Consent to texts is always optional and is never a condition of buying anything.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make this business run, and only as much as they need:

• our website, email and messaging platform;
• our payment processor, to take payment and issue refunds;
• our print and shipping partner, to send you a physical book;
• Meta, to measure how effectively our advertising reaches people;
• anyone we are legally required to give it to.

Advertising

We use the Meta Pixel to record page visits on this site and browser or device information so we can measure how effectively our advertising works. Cookies

This site uses functional cookies, such as remembering that you have already seen a pop-up, along with Meta advertising cookies or similar technologies. You can use your browser settings to clear or block cookies, although parts of the site may stop working if you do.

How long we keep it

We keep customer and order records for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes. We keep email list records until you unsubscribe, and for a short period afterwards so we can honour your request.

• See, correct or delete your information: contact us and we will action it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, and we apply these on request regardless.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website can promise perfect security, and we will not pretend otherwise.
