I am so proud to live in a country represented by so many champions as demonstrated in this year’s Olympics.
I’m sure if you ask any one of them, they would tell you that their success surely was not overnight.
They work hard and are consistent, persistent and passionate about what they feel they are put on this earth to do.
The same thing goes for you, single believer.
Your life does not have to be put “on hold” until you get married.
You don’t have to wait until you get married to do something great for God…you can be a Champion, right now, for Jesus.
Whatever field or vocation you’re called to, the Word admonishes us to do it heartily as unto the Lord and not unto man. (Colossians 3:23)
Your first and main audience is God – man will be pleased as a result of your hard work and efforts paying off, but it’s God who sees you behind those closed doors and in those quiet times when you choose to pray instead of give up and when you choose to crucify the flesh and be led by the Spirit and just do what He called you to do while giving it your all.
Single believer, your life matters right now.
What you choose to wholeheartedly do today determines your tomorrow.
I’m sure there were many days our Olympians woke up and said, “I don’t feel like practicing today,” or little Gabby Douglas may have even said, “Mommy, not now…can it wait?” Even the video below describes how she, at one point, thought about giving up – except her mommy pushed her to succeed.
Just like Gabby’s mom, allow God to be your personal coach to push you beyond your own limits and into His realm of unlimited success and reward.
Success, for a believer, should mean doing those things which please God and bring Him glory so today it’s time to examine your life and ask yourself, “Is what I’m doing right now bringing glory to God?” And, “Am I doing what God called me to do?” and if the answer is, no, then ask yourself, “What’s stopping me?”
There’s a champion in you.
All you have to do is tap into it, stir up the gift and don’t quit. (2 Timothy 1:6)
Do all you need to do to prepare spiritually through consistent prayer and praise and naturally by becoming an expert in your industry and practicing daily so you can dominate whatever you were created to dominate.
God gave mankind dominion. You were born to dominate. (Genesis 1:26)
As you run the race called life, remember it’s not a sprint but a marathon and that as you run you are never alone.
He is always there with you – leading, guiding, holding your hand and cheering you on from the stands.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
